At 13:00 hours on April 17th, Croton Falls was requested to Brewster for a house fire. Tankers 8 and 88 arrived on scene within moments of dispatch and split their crews to assist first arriving Brewster firefighters with stretching hose lines and making entry. Tanker 8’s crew stretched to the rear of the home while 88’s crew went in with Brewster through the front door. Interior crews were met with heavy fire conditions on all floors. Engine 149’s crew arrived and went to work assisting Tanker 8’s crew, while Engine 149 went to a water source to prepare for tanker shuttles. Tankers 8, 88, Engine 149, 148, and Rescue 28 operated for several hours before returning to Croton Falls.

While units operated, an Engine from South Salem FD stood by to cover calls in the Croton Falls Fire District.
