At 16:21 hours on Friday, February 21st, Car 2072 and Engine 149 responded to South Salem for a Chimney Fire with extension to the roof. Car 2072 with Engine 149 were assigned to the roof and began vertical ventilation and overhaul of the roof shingles. While operating, a hose line was stretched to the roof to assist with extinguishing hot spots. While Car 2072 and Engine 149 operated, Engine 148 was staffed and covered the district. Units operated for two hours before returning in service.
