On Wednesday, December 19th the Westchester County Fire Training Center held its graduation for students who successfully completed the New York State Firefighter One course in 2019. The Croton Falls Fire Department was fortunate enough to have two members, Nick Ekholm and Kevin Quaglino, complete the course.
Completing Firefighter One is a major accomplishment and a stepping stone in the fire service. The Firefighter One course is over 130 hours, requires classroom and hands-on learning, and teaches skills one will need in order to become a successful interior firefighter.
