2nd Alarm House Fire

On Tuesday afternoon, Croton Falls was dispatched to an address on Nash Road for a reported fire in the laundry room. While fire units were en route, NSPD arrived on scene reporting a house fire. Prior to arrival, Car 2071 transmitted a 10-75 based on the information provided by NSPD.

Ladder 67 arrived on scene first due with heavy fire showing prompting 2071 to transmit a 2nd alarm. Engine 148, Tanker 8, and Tanker 88 arrived on scene moments after and crews stretched hose lines and made entry to extinguish the fire. While members were operating inside the structure, a mayday was transmitted for a firefighter that fell through the floor, however the member was located and removed from the fire building.

Crews from over a dozen fire agencies assisted with extinguishing the fire and overhauling. Units operated for roughly four hours.
