Established in 1892, the Croton Falls Fire Department is a provider of emergency services located in upper Westchester County which protects residents and businesses in the town of North Salem, as well as, parts of the towns of Southeast and Carmel. We also participate in mutual aid agreements with neighboring departments.
We are a 100% volunteer organization that provides comprehensive fire fighting, extrication, specialized rescue, water/ice rescue, fire police, fire prevention education and EMS assistance from our two stations; Station One at 1 Front Street in Croton Falls and the Station Two at 301 Titicus Road in North Salem.
We take emergency services very seriously. Despite being unpaid professionals, we are still bound to this obligation just like our paid counterparts in other communities. Thus, we must be committed to providing our services 24 hours a day – every day.
The CFFD is comprised of approximately 65 members. This includes Firefighters, EMTs, Fire Police and Members. The Croton Falls Fire Department seeks volunteers to bolster its ranks and to provide diverse range of services.
We offer a long list of benefits including a state of the art training center, flexible station assignments and a friendly, fun and professional atmosphere.
